We annually participate in the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists State Conference. Our staff is composed of committed professionals who are dedicated to making each patient’s orthodontic experience memorable and stress-free.



Front Office Staff

	Jackie is likely to be the first voice you hear when you call into our office. She has worked with Dr. VanDevanter since 1997 as our Appointment Coordinator. Jackie is always available to welcome you to the office and help patients and their families schedule appointments. She has worked in the dental field since 1992. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to work with our patients form start to finish. Form the initial meet and greet, to the completion of their treatment, our team is dedicated to the creation of a beautiful smile.”
	Kristina is the newest member of Dr. VanDevanter’s team. She recently moved back to the Pacific NW after 8 years in Northern California to be near her family. Kristina has 13 years of experience in the dental field and will bring many new elements to our practice. She comes from a large family and looks forward to spending time with all of them. Kristina enjoys traveling, running, watching movies, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with great friends. "I believe a beautiful smile gives a person confidence and builds great self-esteem. I’m looking forward to getting to know each family individually and following them through treatment. Seeing their beautiful smiles when they complete treatment makes all our hard work worthwhile."
	Marjorie has been the Treatment Coordinator in Dr. VanDevanter's office since 2001. At one time or another, every chart and record for each patient passes through Marjorie's hands. Marjorie will be your personal guide to bring you swiftly through the steps to straighter teeth. She lives in Auburn with her husband and two daughters. "It is fascinating to see the transformation that occurs in the orthodontic process."
	Colleen is the Financial Coordinator in Dr. VanDevanter’s office. She has worked in the orthodontic field handling financial and insurance aspects of treatment since 1996. She joined Dr. VanDevanter’s staff in May of 2002. “I enjoy being able to help our families through the financial process. It makes me feel good to know I can make the process stress free so all you have to do is enjoy that gorgeous smile you’ve waited for.”
Clinical Staff
	Tara is the clinical coordinator in Dr. VanDevanter’s office.  She leads our clinical staff to provide excellent patient care.   Tara has worked in the orthodontic field since 1991 and has been work with Dr. VanDevanter. “The field of orthodontics is very rewarding, and there are many new advances, so we are always learning.”  Tara enjoys getting to know the patients on a personal level and also seeing them change while achieving a beautiful smile.  After hours, you are likely to see Tara at the ball field where she is always cheering on her daughter during fast pitch games.
	Lori will welcome you into treatment with sincere enthusiasm.  She is a valued member of our clinical staff with the specialty training necessary to adjust your braces.  Lori has been through orthodontic treatment as an adult and has firsthand knowledge in pointers that can make your experience trouble free.  Lori is well known for her bubbly personality and motivation with patients.  She stays busy after hours with her husband and two school aged children.  “I am a mother too, and know how important encouragement can be to achieving your goals.”
	Misty has been a clinical assistant with Dr. VanDevanter since 2001. She brings warmth and laughter in addition to her fine clinical skills to help you during your orthodontic treatment. “A smile is such an important part of every person and I can’t imagine a better career than helping our patients achieve this!” Misty has recently returned from maternity leave. She and her husband now have two lovely girls.
	Yvette relocated to Federal Way from Eastern Washington in the summer of 2006 to become a member of our clinical staff. She has been in the dental care field since 1996, and has a young son that keeps her busy when she is not in the clinic. “I enjoy orthodontics because I am a people person. I enjoy new friendships and strive to make each orthodontic appointment a high point of their day.”
	Chrissy first came to Dr. VanDevanter as an eager patient ready for braces. She officially joined our team one year ago. Chrissy is in charge of instrument sterilization and laboratory duties. Chrissy is currently training to assume chair side assisting duties. She brings with her a willingness to learn and a positive attitude. "I enjoy orthodontics because I’m always learning something, allowing me more opportunities to succeed in the clinic."
